My favorite – (from a friend, wish it had been my kid):
-Young boy gets into a bad habit of saying “Oh my God!!!” whenever he’s surprised, upset, etc…
-Boy’s mother counsels that it would be much less of a blasphemy to say “Nuts!” instead.
-Natural result – Boy now exclaims “Oh my Nuts!” on a periodic basis…..
Hahaha, great one! I just got a newsletter for my daughter’s pre-school that sometimes lists funny quotes the kids say, and lo and behold, there’s one from my Rebecca, where upon seeing a shamrock hanging on the wall: “It’s almost Cucumber Day!” I have no idea where she got that one from, but it was awesome! 😀
