  3. I always assumed it meant that the marriage ceremony will be old-fashioned, but now I see the ambiguity.

    From the same song, there are at least three Police/Sting songs that use the lyric, “It’s a big enough umbrella, but it’s always me that ends up getting wet.” Name them?

  4. When Sting sings that “I resolve to call her up a thousand times a day and ask her if she will marry me in some old fashioned way”, is he suggesting that his method of asking her to marry him will be done in an old-fashioned way, or that he wishes the marriage ceremony itself be done in an old-fashioned way?
